Solid State Group is a full-service web agency. We can help you conceptualise, design, build, test and host the online aspects of your organisation. Essentially, we’re a group of likeminded people with similar goals and interests. We all love technology. We are all early adopters, with the MiniDiscs and Aibos to prove it, and we love creating new and innovative things.
The company was born in 2002 by two friends who had seen the worst of the dot-com excess and decided there must be a better way of working. Starting from nothing apart from a couple of bedrooms and PCs, we designed and built what was to become Cookie Jar, our flagship Content Management System product.
Our goal is to deliver robust and scalable websites, which are usually built on one of our suite of web products, but on occasion we build something from scratch if we think that’s the best route. It’s horses for courses.
Our ethos is to deliver this objective through clarity, honesty and integrity. We’re service oriented, and would rather develop a strong relationship with our clients than build a large project and move on.
Being a technical agency, our core skills lie in Java-based web development, but we also do a lot of design, usability, accessibility and other web-related services.
We’ve been growing at a pretty good rate, 70% annually on average, and being bootstrapped we’re wholly founder owned and completely debt-free.
We normally work for cold, hard cash, but if you think you’ve got a great idea for a start-up, and we think you have too, we have been known to accept equity in your business instead.
We’re based in Shoreditch, London, not far from the famed Silicon Roundabout. If you’re in the area, drop in and see us, or we could nip to The Griffin for a pint. Failing that, contact us and we can talk about whatever your next digital project might be.
