Web Development
With many of our web developers also being designers, Solid State Group can be relied upon to ensure the transition from design to webpage is smooth and accurate. Whilst we are always enthusiastic to try out the latest technologies, we take steps to keep our websites cross-browser compatible whilst keeping our templates future-proof. Our templates are currently produced to the XHTML 1.1 standard but we always look to push the boundaries with HTML5.
By using JavaScript and AJAX frameworks we can rapidly produce cutting edge user interfaces, but being framework agnostic we ensure that the best tool for the job is used, be that Mootools, JQuery, Glow or native JavaScript built from the ground up. We build sites based on progressive enhancement so we always ensure that those on less able browsers never miss out.
Solid State Group’s products, Cookie Jar, Sugar Cube and Honey Comb, afford us the luxury of having an extremely powerful and flexible templating system using Java Servlet Pages (.jsp) and Velocity meaning that we can uphold our ‘can do’ attitude when it comes to web development.
Finally speed and performance are extremely important to us and we make sure that we build our templates efficiently so they can be downloaded and displayed on the page quickly.
