Sony Computer Entertainment Europe
Sony Computer Entertainment (SCE) has grown organically since its inception in 1993. SCE now have 14 Software development studios located in Europe, Asia and North America.
Some studios had developed their own website and whilst other either pointed to the SCE corporate site or simly had no presence on the web. After the formation of the studios as a single entity in 2005, it became apparent that SCE World Wide Studios (WWS) needed to be able to showcase their studios to make them more accessible to gamers and attract potential employees and partners, both in English and Japanese.
The solution was to design and create an Umbrella site for all 14 studios using one consistent design based on the Cookie Jar web content management system. Utilising the multi locale aspect of the CMS the site would be visible both in English and Japanese as well as having full control over all the content.
The result is a fresh new website that can be content managed and works on all popular browsers including the Playstation 3 browser. The site is now attracting potential talent and business partners globally, while providing gamers background information on each of the development studios responsible for the production of some of the most popular games on the PlayStation platforms.
