Web Application Test Manager
Job Description
We are currently looking for candidates to fill a roll in web application testing.
Usual duties will include the creation, ongoing development and internal support of an automated web application testing environment as well as the creation and maintenance of test scripts to aid in the testing of web sites and web applications currently undergoing development.
Duties will also include the management of outsourced testing to third parties and/or automated test tools.
You will be client facing, be able to understand client requirements and test projects autonomously.
You must be able to fit into a small, growing company, be flexible on hours and be able to take on all sorts of tasks.
Candidate Requirements
You need to be passionate about web applications in general and web development in particular! Understanding of web standards, web accessibility, XHTML/CSS, browsers, web servers, application servers, database servers and how they all work together is very important. Use of and awareness about automated test tools like Selenium is a must. Understanding the benefits of automated testing and being to keep up to date with developments of the tools available is also important. Writing pragmatic test scripts with good application coverage is also very important.
Being able to work well to tight deadlines as part of a small team is very important.
Degree in relevant subject, or conversion.
Ideally 2 years industrial experience in relevant industry. We would be looking ideally for knowledge in ANT, Linux, Tomcat, mySQL, Apache and some Java/Java frameworks.
Able to work in the UK and travel into central London daily.
A portfolio of previous projects and sample documentation would be useful.
Remuneration: 35,000 Location: London
