Finding the right tools to work with is an extremely important aspect of a developer's life. As time goes on we'll be listing tools that we use here at Solid State on a day to day basis that make our jobs easier and simpler.

We use both CVS and Subversion here, and although the client tools provided to access these repositories are good, WinMerge can be an absolute life saver. If you want to be able to see the difference between two files, or two sets of directories, WinMerge is far and away the best tool I've found to do this.
